First, the double-figure other people reporting that is not due to a damaged lens. It was the issues that are fixed by the software (and a new lens ships with v1.1, so no need to download the updates), but there is still a mismatch with your particular camera, where the lens will get shaken up/vibrate with the mechanical shutter for exposure. Not all cameras have this problem, and this is where the problem has been corrected in the new batched. If you have a model that is affected, and affected batch, your camera will not work with this lens, period. I have DMC-G5 does not have any issues, and all models were released in 2012 must be fair.

The picture quality is good. While I'm not a professional and don't have a backpack full of lenses to compare it, I am also very picky about things, General observations me matched what the State reviews online. Overall good clarity for the majority of the frame. There is no discrepancy between chromatic with Panasonic cameras (eliminated by software). The corners are more gentle than the Center. I don't see any vignetting at all, from what I understand, this is again due to the processing in the camera. This processing contribute to soft corner (no such thing as a free lunch), so the Olympus users will likely see more sharply, though the dark corners than I do.
In short, it is small, and with small size comes compromise. However, the benefits of portability outweighs the disadvantages, especially if you can grab it for < $ 300 sales.
